At Shine Bright Foundation, we believe everyone deserves a safe, nurturing environment free from violence and fear.
Our mission is simple: to support women and children in the Fraser Coast region who have experienced domestic violence, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
Through local initiatives, community partnerships, and targeted programs, we fund essential services such as counselling, emergency support, therapeutic programs, and resources that give families the tools to heal and thrive.
Every dollar raised stays in our community, ensuring real impact for those who need it most. When you support Shine Bright Foundation, you’re not just donating—you’re giving someone a fresh start.

Every act of giving lights a path forward. Your support means more than dollars—it means hope, safety, and a future for those escaping violence.
We fund life-changing initiatives right here in the Fraser Coast, from specialist counselling and play therapy for children to practical assistance for women starting over.
The One Day at a Time Gala is our flagship event, bringing the community together to raise vital funds for these programs.
Whether you attend the gala, host your own fundraiser, or make a donation, you’re part of something bigger—you’re helping us break the cycle of domestic violence.

The One Day At A Time Gala is Shine Bright Foundation’s annual fundraiser supporting Fraser Coast people impacted by domestic and family violence by funding vital local services. Now in its fourth year, the event has raised funds across multiple Shine Bright initiatives and partner programs including Play and Beyond Therapy 4 Kids, the Shine Bright Sanctuary, the Men’s and Youth Hub, Small Steps 4 Hannah, and the HALT program.
In 2026, the gala will be the biggest yet, with a focus on men’s mental health and accountability in domestic and family violence prevention, bringing the Wide Bay community together through a country style experience with campfires and high profile keynote speakers. Funds raised will directly provide full time psychological support for local men who identify as perpetrators, helping address behaviours, support change, and strengthen families.
Safe to Play is an initiative designed to build DV safe, trauma informed sporting communities so children and families impacted by domestic and family violence can take part in sport confidently and without fear. It delivers a DV Safe Sport model built on clear safety expectations, legal and clinical guidance, education and cultural change, and shared responsibility between clubs and community partners.
The program gives clubs a practical framework and support to manage DFV related risks appropriately, without forcing families to disclose or prove their trauma to be taken seriously. Its vision is that no child misses out on sport due to domestic and family violence, no club is left handling complex safety situations alone, and DV Safe Clubs become visible, trusted spaces for families.
